Hello, I am Sally, an Adventure STEM student. This is my second year at this program and I have seen a lot of things change. For one, there are now two fifth grade classes, so our program has been expanding. As the program is expanding, so are the expectations. It means a lot to be a student at this program and there are many reasons why.

The Adventure program helps prepare students for the future by using hands-on learning and helping students develop social, teamwork,  and critical thinking skills. These skills will benefit the students for later on in life.  Communication is also a very important skills that all Adventure students develop over the course of the school year. The program offers students a chance for success in life.

In Adventure, we do a lot of projects. These projects require collaboration and teamwork. The purpose of these projects are not only to educate us about what we have learned, but it also helps us become more social and active with other classmates. Doing these projects are an effective way to put what we have learned out there, so that others can see everything that we have worked on. Although projects require time and dedication, the product that you get at the end is something you would be proud of.

In this program, we have many different subjects. They are Physical Eduacation, Social Studies, Language Arts, Elective, Math, and Science. In all of the classes, expect for Physical Education, we use technology, whether they are laptops or chromebooks. The technology that we use in these classes helps make learning more fun. The Adventure program teaches students different from other schools. The technology also makes it easier to turn in assignments and keep track of documents and papers that we use on a daily basis. Using laptops and chromebooks also makes it so that we don't have to write everything down on paper, however, we do use notebooks and take notes when needed. Adventure is also a STEM-based program so the subjects that are taught in this program follow STEM, which is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

As you can see, there is so much to this program. The name doesn't say much about Adventure, but once you get to know the background of Adventure STEM, you will be able to see how this program has come to be. Being at this program for two years and seeing how much it has changed and improved surprises me that it's growing every year. Adventure is a place where you can show your creative side, get involved and be a part of this program. We learn through many different ways. Sometimes, you'll end up learning something new outside of class. Being an Adventure student means that you will be guided to learn the new, not the old, but in the end, the final decision on how you plan out your life is yours.
