Sally's E- Portfolio

My favorite project from core was the "Native American Tribe Project". In this project, you had an assigned Native American tribe, and you and your group members were supposed to research about what the tribe did in their everyday life, what they ate, what they wore, how they hunted, what special religions and ceremonies they did, and where they lived. The tribe that I got was the Apache Tribe. After my group members and I did all of the research we needed, we put all of our information on a big piece of poster board like-paper. We then added pictures to show what the Apache Tribe looked like.

 

Doing this project was really fun, and I enjoyed it because it's not like you are just researching about the tribe then having to turn all of the information into a long essay. I think that making a poster helps people learn about the tribe, but you're not getting stressed about finishing a long essay.

 

I chose to show this project because I was able to learn about the tribe, but I didn't have to stress out about an essay. This project helped me learn a lot about what my tribe did in their life, and in the future, I can use the same information I got from this project to do other assignments.
