A long long time ago (fifth grade), I learned about the periodic table, but it never occurred to be how useful it was, and what the different symbols represented. Well this year, I worked on and completed the "Periodic Table Project." This project requires you to create a periodic table on a topic of your choice. As you can see in the image above, my partner and I decided to create a periodic table of books. It sounds very simple, just finding a bunch of books and categorizing them, but the entire process was pretty difficult. A lot of thought and consideration had to go into this project, and the books that served as the elements for the periodic table were carefully chosen based on the number of pages that the book had, and the number of letters that the author had in their last name. If you want to see my blog post on this project, click here. Although this project was long and tedious at times, it shows my accomplishment in being able to show my understanding in the periodic table, and also my creativity in creating my own version of the periodic table. This project really tested my skills in whether I was able to relate something such as books, into elements with atomic numbers and masses, and I feel like I was able to accomplish that within this project.
