One of my favorite projects in Science is the "Safest Place in America" project. For this project, we had to determine which city in the state that we chose was the safest place to live. The area had to be free of many natural disasters, such as tornadoes and wildfires. Along with the project, we had to make a map that showed where each of the natural disasters happened and from there, determine which state had the least amount of natural disasters. For this project, my partner and I first found out where all the natural disasters are likely to occur. We saw that West Virginia the least amount of natural disasters occuring and chose the city of Huntington to base our project on that.

The "Safest Place in Ameica" project shows my ability to learn about the different natural disasters and where they occured. The project allowed me do dig deeper into what happens in what state and how that affects where you live. The project also brought an argumentative side when we had to show that Corvallis, Oregon was not the safest place in America and that Huntington, West Virginia was the safest place in America.

This project shows my achievement because I was able to learn a lot more about how the each of the states had an element that allows the natural disaster to form, whether it is warm air or flat land. Also, this project showed that each state can have multiple natural disasters and that the natural disasters usually happen in certain areas, which means that not all of the states have the same natural disasters as others. Overall, I learned a lot of new things that I didn't know before.
