Sally's E- Portfolio
Hello, my name is Sally. I am a student at Adventure STEM, a program on the Herman Intermediate campus.
Adventure has a lot of projects and most of the time, the projects require teamwork. Adventure also helps students become more active toward their classmates, and prepares them for what is going to happen in their later years. The program challenges students to work their hardest and use critical thinking to solve problems. It also it a program that lets students be creative with their work. Adventure students use a lot of technology every day to help them learn in a more enactive way.
The subjects that students are taught at Adventure are P.E, Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathamatics, and Science. In each class, students have a chance to collaborate with other students with their classwork, which helps them become more active towards their classmates. The students at Adventure use technology every day to learn, so it makes them more eager to learn since using technology to learn make it fun for the students, rather then the students doing work sheets on paper. All of the students at Adventure are graded for their effort, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving.
My favorite subjects are Language Arts and Science. I like language arts because it helps me improve on my grammar, and I usually learn something new that I never knew before about English and new words and their meanings. I like science because it teaches me a lot about life, and how things work. In science, I learn things such as how the body works, the different types of rocks, how volcanos and glaciers are formed, and many more differnt topics. In my personal opinion, I think that having a schedule where you switch classes because it makes me feel like I am in middle school when I have schedules and changing periods. Another thing I like about Adventure is that we use a lot of technology everyday to learn, so it is a more fun and exciting way to learn.
Adventure has many uses of technology. We use technology every day to research for reports, take tests, and study for quizzes. We also use technology to to classwork, and sometimes homework. The main resource of technology that we use are laptops. The uses of technology gives students another kind of learning. I really like the uses of technology because it is different, and it gives me a different and fun way of learning. Adventure students are also taught on how to use the electronics, so in the future, they will know how to use that type of electronic properly.
Adventure is a great program that helps students increase their skills of collaboration, and lets them show of their creativity into their work and projects. Adventure students have a chance to learn about situations that are going to happen in the future, so they will be prepared and will know about the situations. In conclusion, Adventure is a great program that lets students be creative with their work.
