One of my favorite projects in Math is the "Charity Fair" project. In this project, we had to make items to sell and the money that we raised would be given to charity. My partner and I came up with the idea to make owl-themed ornaments. This idea came from our liking of owls. The plan was to make the ornaments out of felt and sell them for $1.00 at the fair. The money that we collected would be given to the Maria La Vang Church. The project required some math by figuring out how big the owls would be and how many owls could be made using each of our materials. Other than that, the project was very fun to work on because I was able to get creative with how the ornaments looked like in the end. We ended up making 10 owl ornaments to sell.

This project shows my ability to do something different and unique because the project was something that I had never done before and it was very interesting to sell something to people that you made. The project was a little time-consuming because you had to make sure that the owl ornaments looked nice and neatly done, but I really enjoyed the process of this process.

This project shows my achievement because I was able to make something to sell and the money made would benefit others in the community. Overall, my partner and I sold all of the ornaments at the fair and got $10 out of our sales to give to charity. The project showed that it always better to give than receive.
